Climb the church tower: in July and August you can climb the village church tower on the Dorpsstraat on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, rewarded by a panorama over the village and the surrounding countryside.
Berkenbosch estate: on the Duinbeekseweg near Oostkapelle, in the woods of De Manteling, lies the country estate of Berkenbosch, where Middelburg's elite once spent their summers. Its park still has two canal-like ponds and a round basin from the 18th century, as well as the Stenen Tafel, an 18th-century stone picnic table placed as a garden folly.
