Walking in and around Oostkapelle

Oostkapelle lies between woodland, dunes and beach, with De Manteling and Oranjezon right on the edge of the village.

• Woods and dunes: De Manteling and Oranjezon are two of the finest nature reserves on Walcheren.
• Waymarked routes: from a woodland loop of just over 2 km to a 26 km walking route through the Walcheren countryside.
• Castle and church tower: combine a walk with Westhove Castle or one of the other viewpoints.
• Along the coast: the dune crossings take you straight onto the beach, towards Domburg or Vrouwenpolder.

Almost all walking routes around Oostkapelle start just behind the village.

• De Manteling white and blue: two short loops of 2.2 and 3.7 km through the estate woodland of De Manteling.
• Kasteel Westhove: a 6 km route between Oostkapelle and Domburg, passing the historic castle.
• Struinen door bos en duin: 9.3 km through the varied coastal landscape between Oostkapelle and Domburg.
• Kustloop: just over 20 km via Vrouwenpolder and Kamperland, mostly on natural paths.
• Kunstpicknickroute: 26 km past art, nature and villages such as Serooskerke and Gapinge, largely paved.
