Veerse Meer - Nature
The Veerse Meer is a nature reserve located northeast of Walcheren and south of Noord-Beveland. The lake is a popular watersports destination for sailors, sport fishermen, and scuba divers. There is also an opportunity for surfing and waterskiing through a cable ski facility, and there is a canoe harbor at De Piet.
Around the lake, there are thousands of moorings for pleasure boats. Most of the islands and various shores have pontoons for leisure craft.
There are several diving spots, including ones north of Wolphaartsdijk and on the west side of Veere. Approximately twelve thousand trout are released into the lake annually, half of which are rainbow trout and the other half are brown trout.
Nature Reserve
The Veerse Meer spans 22 kilometers and is a Natura 2000 site. The width varies from 150 to 1300 meters, with a total shoreline length of 55 kilometers. The depth varies significantly, reaching a maximum of 17.3 meters with an average of 5 meters.

Boat Tour on the Veerse Meer
From May to September and during the autumn holidays, you can enjoy a beautiful boat tour on the Veerse Meer daily. Departing from the pier at Campveerse Toren in Veere, these tours of approximately one hour offer a unique opportunity to discover the beauty of the lake.
Admire the beautiful nature islands, see the wild horses by the shore, and enjoy the view of the many boats and yachts that bring this area to life.
